Singapore healthtech startup DocDoc banks $13m for market expansion

The funding, which was done on a convertible note, was led by London-listed investment firm Adamas Finance Asia Limited. Regional family offices, a fund managed by a financial services-focused investment firm, and Cyberport Macro Fund also participated in the round, which brings the startup’s total funding raised to US$24.6 million to date.

DocDoc connects patients to a network of doctors through its AI-powered platform. It also partners with insurance companies to reduce costs and offer a differentiated product to their policyholders, according to a statement.

The company will also use part of the fresh capital to enhance its patient intelligence platform. Currently, the startup’s product offerings include doctor discovery, telemedicine, and cashless settlement.

Founded in 2012, DocDoc currently operates in eight countries, with over 23,000 doctors and 793 clinics and hospitals in its network.
